Starting point:
Broadband speed was around the 5Mbps download and 0.5Mbps upload.
Our client had the following setup:
- ADSL Broadband
- A satellite broadband connection
- An eclectic spread of wifi access points throughout the premises.
- A faulty chimney mounted 4G router that didn’t work (we assisted technically by validating the fault and obtaining a full vendor refund).
We implemented the following solution:
- Huawei B535 LTE (4G) router.
- Vodaphone unlimited data sim (£27/month at time of writing).
- An 800Mhz directional antenna mounted on the chimney.
- The client has maintained his current internal network pending a later upgrade.
Result:
- Broadband speed is now in the region of 35Mbps download and 15Mbps upload.
- 1 happy customer.
